New England Watercolor Society shows:

The 2010 New England Watercolor Society National Show, co-chaired by Judy Metcalfe and Lennice Strohmeier, will be held at the North Shore Art Association, September 24 through October 24. John Salminen will conduct a workshop in conjunction with the show, September 27 - 29.

The New England Watercolor Society (formerly Boston Watercolor Society) 125th Anniversary Members Exhibition will be held at the Plymouth Art Center, 11 North St., Plymouth, MA 02361. NEWS is celebrating its 125th anniversary with an invitational signature members’ exhibit, featuring past and present members. The exhibition will be open from October 20 to Nov. 14, 2010, with a reception on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 1:00 to 3:00.

Wichita KS: The Wichita Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the Kansas Watercolor Society National Exhibition 2010 held November 19, 2010 through January 2, 2011.

Janet Walsh, President Emeritus of the American Watercolor Society and a Fellow in the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in London, England is this year’s Juror.

The exhibit is open to all artists living and working in North America. Only original paintings in primarily aqueous medium (no water-based oils) on paper are acceptable. Each entry must be wholly designed and executed by the artist and not shown in previous KWS National Exhibitions.
